Sketching at London Bridge

London Bridge

I was waiting for my train and suddenly thought to take some time to sketch my surroundings using my new daily sketching kit.

I’ve only sketched with a friend or with a group in public so I had to overcome my public sketching nerves. At first, I felt slightly awkward and super paranoid that everyone was looking at me wondering what is this ‘mad’ lady doing but I found that most people were generally busy or looking at their phones to notice me.

Even so, I still felt slightly awkward and did some quick pencil and pen sketches. I really enjoyed drawing the back of a lady and became so engrossed in my sketch that I totally forgot about my awkward feeling and ended up missing my train!

I even continued sketching from the train when it stopped at Lewisham Station. Sketching is addictive.
